Challenge:    The success of  "The Troop Surge"   

The situation in Iraq has changed.   The level of violence has come down.   What is the cause of this change?   McCain is claiming credit because he voted to send more troops to Iraq, and after they arrived,  the level of violence went down.    This is typical faulty Republican logic.    The real cause of the drop in violence is a product of the moderates in Iraq rebelling against the excessive violence of the extremists.    The Iraqis, themselves, are the cause the reduction in violence.   McCain is again misleading the public into believing that he, and the troop surge are the cause.    Challenge him to prove his claim.

Challenge:    Fannie May and Freddie Mac    

It looks like Fannie May and Freddie Mac have been engaging in some undercover hanky panky with your money.   And now George Bush and his His Republican buddies are looking to you and me to bail them out with two-hundred billion dollars more of our tax money.   

Did you ever wonder exactly where that two-hundred billion dollars will go.    Well, ___ Million will go  to ____  CEO of Fannie May and  ___ million go  to ___ CEO of Freddie Mac.   These are the guys who were supposed to be watching the store.    These are the people who created the problem.   

Did you notice that in their proposal to bail out the super-wealthy,  theirs not one penny for the millions of American who are loosing their homes because of Fannie May and Freddie Mac's  gross financial mismanagement and lack of Republican overseers.   

The Republicans have known what was going on for eight years and they did absolutely nothing about it.   Well, that not exactly right.  Some of them ignored it while others tried to hide it.    

Do you realize how much money that is?   That's close to $700 for every man, woman, and child in the entire United Sates.    If John McCain and George Bush want to spend that much of your money, I propose we give a serious look at how we can direct that money to those people who are losing their homes and to those of you who are in financial hardship.  

Notice the difference between proposing to examine and option and actually making a promise to do something.   It's almost as powerful as a promise without any commitment and with the option to say something quite different later with no repercussions.   (i.e.  When we looked closely at this issue we found ____ and now I think we should ______.

One of the biggest errors of  Democratic  politics is the Democrats are selling egos and personalities instead of promoting the Democratic team with Obama as the Team leader.  It's critically important that the discussions be about Team Cooperation  -- about  Team Leadership  and  about  The President as the Team Leader.      

Instead, they are presently (9 Sep 2008)  allowing the Republicans to Determine the playing field.   Promoting Obama as the team leader is even more critical now that the Republican are no longer promoting John McCain.   They're now peddling McCain/Palin.     Although not so blatant as George Bush was, Palin is another ultra-conservative Christian  politician working for God.

Challenge:    It's All About Money    

A successful Democratic  Campaign will be about Money  -- money in the form of wages, health care, retirement, job security, and taxes.   

Four  things rule most people's lives -- ego, money, sex, and religious beliefs.   The Republicans are successfully selling egos and the Christian religion.   A successful Democratic campaign will focus of money.   It will derail the opponents personalities (McCain-the-war-hero-has-been)   (Palin the conservative Christian want-to-be).    It will  tie the religious issue to George bush and what he did that was anything but born-again.   And then get out of the personality debates.   

If you force one person to pay you money, it’s extortion.

If you force thousands to pay you money, it’s called taxation.

If you secretly tax everyone, it's called deficit financing.   

The product of deficit financing is inflation.

Inflation steals the value out of money.   Everything  cost more.

Inflation is the secret tool of taxation.   

In the past Eight years, the American  public has been taxed by inflation in the amount of at least 480 billion dollars.

Challenge:    Creating Economic Stability    

It's now possible, with relative ease and simplicity, to create  "A New Corporate World Win-Win Business Structure" in which corporate employees, corporate  customers, and the environment have equal standing with making a profit. 

A massive cooperative effort is needed to Reverse Global Warming.   We must have groups of individuals with the means and the capacity to do what is required.   We must have people whose lives are stable and not under threat of financial disaster.   The New Corporate World can provide that base and much more besides.  

It's now possible, 
with relative ease and simplicity 
for corporations that have publicly traded stock  
to set up their own non-profit Foundations and then transfer 
ownership of most (if not all) of the company's stock to that Foundation.

In this new context,²  the present corporate focus on  profits only at the expense of everything else will be shifted to  a five-fold focus  --  to a focus on  employees, management, customers, the environment, and the remaining stockholders.   Billions of dollars presently being paid out as interest on corporate loans (debt service -- payments to stockholders) could then be used to take care of management and employees, to produce high quality products at a fair price, and to participate in the Reversal of Global Warming.

 Challenge:    Human Have Turned on Nature's Doomsday Machine

Humans have turned on Nature's Doomsday Machine.   Unless this self-expanding cycle is reversed within the next five to ten years, it will become un-stoppable.     The consequences will be devastating, deadly, and irreversible!     

In his speech at the Republican convention, Senator McCain Failed to say even one word about the state of the environment or Global Warming.    He talked a lot about war, fighting, and suffering, but not one word about Climate Change which is killing and destroying at a level far beyond that of any war with tanks and guns.   He ended his speech by shouting at the audience to fight, to fight,  and to fight some more.   The shouting about fighting raised the audience to a fever pitch which almost drowned our his repeated calls to fight.  Over four thousand words came our of his mouth in that speech and nor even one of those words was about the environment.    Perhaps it's time to put The Grandfather Generation ² out to pasture.
